The YOU Retreat

I spent this past Sunday, celebrating black women at the You Retreat hosted by Black Love’s owner and founder, Codie Elaine Oliver and it honestly couldn’t have come at a better time. Even though I was there to work, there is no denying or hiding the impact that black women can have on one another when we saturate ourselves in love. From the top to the bottom of that day , we were able to be our full selves, show up in whatever way that meant, and find that you were not alone. That without a single monolith present, there was still such unity in the room, an intimate flow that only we know goes without saying.
